Air travel apps in the United Kingdom have experienced different user engagement levels in the first quarter of 2024. The latest insights from Sensor Tower provide a snapshot of how these apps are performing in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

easyJet: Travel App saw downloads begin at 44K in the first week of January, dipping to 37K mid-quarter, and then rising to a peak of 51K in the third week of March. Weekly active users started at 328K, fluctuated throughout the quarter, and reached a high of 344K in mid-March.

Ryanair experienced a stable start with downloads around 39K, which increased to over 42K by mid-January but then saw a slight decrease to 35K in early March. Active users for Ryanair showed a dip from 263K at the beginning of the quarter to 227K in mid-February, with a rebound to 267K by the end of March.

British Airways had a steady pattern in downloads, hovering around 27K to 31K throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight uptick from 185K in the first week of January to 189K by the end of January, followed by a modest drop to 180K in mid-March, before climbing back up to 183K by the quarter's end.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker, unlike others, generated revenue with a notable peak of $53K in the first week of March. Downloads for the app varied, starting at 22K, spiking to 31K towards the end of January, and then settling at 31K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a rise from 230K at the start of the year to 266K by the quarter's end.

Wizz Air - Book Flights showed the lowest engagement among the top five, with downloads starting at 16K and fluctuating slightly throughout the quarter, ending at a similar figure. Weekly active users were consistent, hovering just above 100K throughout the period.
